3 sons Of Hamas Leader Killed In Gaza
Three sons of Hamas's top political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, have died as a result of an Israeli air strike in Gaza.
Reports also state that the attack claimed the lives of four of Haniyeh's grandkids.
These losses include some of the most well-known victims of the ongoing war.
Three of Haniyeh's sons, Amir was a cell commander, and two of his sons, Mohammed and Hazem, were members of Hamas' military branch, according to the Israeli military.
The airstrike happened in Haniyeh's hometown of Gaza City, at the Shati refugee camp.
Video showed the moment Haniyeh, who lives in exile in Qatar, learned the heartbreaking news while attending to injured Palestinians in a hospital.
Haniyeh answered, “God rest their souls.” expressing his sorrow at his family members' deaths.
Haniyeh condemned Israel's actions after the incident, calling them murderous and motivated by retaliation. He implied that Israel was pressuring Hamas to comply with its demands by attacking the families of prominent figures.
Israeli officials have declared that they will continue their efforts to neutralize Hamas members who are responsible for the recent attacks, casting a cloud over the ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas in the wake of the fatalities.
Benny Gantz, the Israeli War Cabinet minister, stressed that the war against Hamas would last longer than expected, admitting that even young lads in middle school today might end up as warriors in the future.
The fact that this strike happened during the serious Palestinian festival of Eid al-Fitr added to the grief experienced by the impacted families and communities.
Both sides have suffered greatly as a result of the conflict: Israel claims to have killed hundreds of Hamas fighters, while Gaza's health ministry reports thousands of Palestinian casualties since it started.
