The UAE has lifted the ban on visa services for Nigerians traveling to the UAE
The Nigerian government and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have announced the resumption of visa services for Nigerian citizens wishing to visit the UAE, two years after the UAE imposed a visa ban on Nigerians and automatically rejected pending visa applications.
The governments of Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates jointly released an announcement titled “Resumption of Visa Services for Nigerians Travelling to the UAE” on March 4, 2024. The announcement highlighted the successful conclusion of extensive negotiations between the two countries and emphasized: “Our shared commitment to strengthening ties, enhancing cultural exchanges and fostering opportunities for economic and social collaborations.”
According to both countries, the accomplishment comes next. the talks between United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, signaling a major advancement in their bilateral cooperation.
The UAE has implemented an improved document verification procedure to guarantee a smooth and effective visa application process.
