Toyin Lawani, a fashion entrepreneur, claims that having a tracheostomy tube has made her more spiritual.

To help with breathing, a tracheostomy tube is a medical device that is surgically placed into the windpipe through the neck.

Toyin Lawani clarified that the event strengthened her relationship with God and taught her to be resilient. She claimed to feel compelled to put herself first and concentrate on the things that really count in life.

She also conveyed her appreciation for the help she got while recovering.

“Living on a tracheostomy tube was not a joke. Which brought me closer to God & I learnt valuable lessons about resilience, hope, strength & power of true friendships,” she wrote.

“But through it all, one thing remains clear, taking time to focus on my health & well-being, I am reminded of the importance of self-care, self-love, & the need to prioritise what truly matters in life.
