Champions Napoli defeated Juventus 2-1 in Serie A on Sunday thanks to a late penalty awarded to Nigerian Victor Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen of Nigeria was awarded a late penalty for Champions Napoli, who defeated Juventus 2-1 in Serie A on Sunday.

They secured their first consecutive victories in five months late in the second half thanks to a goal from substitute Giacomo Raspadori.

Three minutes before the half, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave Napoli the lead with a volley inside the near post.

Juventus' equalizer came from Federico Chiesa, who scored from the edge of the box into the far bottom corner in the 81st minute.

However, Raspadori sealed the victory for the home team with two minutes remaining, hitting a close-range rebound into the net's roof.

This came after Wojciech Szczesny, the goalkeeper for Juventus, stopped Osimhen from the penalty spot.

Napoli rose to seventh place in the standings with 43 points, while Juventus held onto second place with 57 points after 27 games, with a one-point lead over third-place AC Milan
