Ramadan Begins Monday, Sultan Declares

Muhammad Sa ad Abubakar, the President of the National Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and the Sultan of Sokoto, has verified that the moon sighting that heralded the start of the holy month of Ramadan 1445AH has occurred.

The Sultan urged Muslims nationwide to begin fasting on Monday, March 11, 2024, in a post published on the National Moonsighting Committee Nigeria's X account on Sunday.
