Umar Bago said he wants to be called “Farmer Governor”
The Niger State governor launched his agro project by commissioning 2,000 hectares of farming land, over 5000 farm inputs, and 1000 tractors.
The Niger State Government has accepted the delivery of agricultural equipment in order to increase agricultural production and advance national food security policy. This is being done in collaboration with Origin Group, a diverse agriculture value chain group.
Origin Group is working with the Niger State Government on a specialized agro support program through a partnership with Campo Company of Brazil, utilizing its exclusive themed support system known as Total Agricultural Support Program (TASP).
Umar Bago put in service 2,000 hectares of farming land, over 5000 farm inputs, and 1000 tractors, at the start of his agro project.
