The CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, has become the richest person in the world, with a net worth of an astounding $200,000,000,000.

Bezos achieved this feat, surpassing Tesla Inc. founder and billionaire Elon Musk, after an astounding 18% increase in the price of Amazon's stock on Monday, March 4.

Reports state that Musk has a net worth of $198 billion, while Jeff Bezos has $200 billion. This huge difference was caused by Musk losing $17.6 billion in wealth in a single day as a result of a 7.2 percent decline in Tesla shares on Monday.

The fact that Amazon's shares have increased by 18% year-to-date and by nearly 90% over the past year, while Tesla's shares have decreased by 24% year-to-date, is evidence of Bezos' success.

On the other hand, with $197 billion in total wealth, Bernard Arnault is currently the third richest person in the entire globe.

Recent months have seen changes in the title of the richest person in the world, primarily due to market performance.

Elon Musk dethroned Bezos in January 2021 after Tesla's stock price increased by 4.8 percent. In May 2023, he surpassed Bernard Arnault to reclaim the title.

The current rankings of the richest people in the world, based on Bloomberg's index, are as follows: Elon Musk is worth $198 billion, Jeff Bezos is worth $200 billion, Steve Ballmer is worth $143 billion, Warren Buffett is worth $133 billion, Larry Ellison is worth $129 billion, Larry Page is worth $122 billion, and Sergey Brin is worth $116 billion. Bill Gates is worth $150 billion.

However, market watchers closely monitor Bezos, Musk, and Arnault's continuing battle for the top position.
