IDP Camp In Borno Destroyed By Fire, Claimed Lives Of Two Children


A camp fire in Borno claimed the lives of two kids



Tuesday saw a tragic incident in Borno when a fire completely destroyed the camp for internally displaced people (IDPs) in the Muna region of the northeastern state.


Two children died as a result of the incident that took place in the Muna Alamdari IDP camp in Maiduguri.


The remote cause of the fire could not be determined at the time this report was filed.


Furthermore, neither the state government nor the Borno State Police Command have responded to the incident.


The Boko Haram insurgency has devastated Borno for more than ten years, resulting in thousands of deaths and widespread displacement.
