Muhammadu Buhari expressed his happiness with the performance of the Tinubu administration.

Senator Kashim Shettima, the vice president of Nigeria, has pledged that the current government will use all of its resources to combat insecurity in order to maintain peace and stability throughout the country.

Shettima insisted that the administration of President Bola Tinubu would stop at nothing to protect Nigerians' lives and property. He made this assurance on Saturday while paying a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

Former President Buhari complimented the current administration for its efforts to stabilize the economy while also thanking Vice President Shettima for his visit.

He remarked: “I am very pleased that they are able to stabilise the situation and continue to really get concerned about Nigerians. I am very happy about their performance.”

However, since Tinubu's administration removed the fuel subsidy and floated the naira, many Nigerians have been facing hardship.

The cost of goods and food has increased significantly as a result of the policies. Many Nigerians have denounced the government for being anti-poor, despite the fact that the International Monetary Fund has commended Tinubu for having the guts to make difficult economic decisions that his predecessors were unable to make.

Protests against the current hardship and the historically high cost of living have therefore taken place in several states.

The vice president said his visit to Daura was motivated by the need to sympathize with the former president and express sympathy to the government and people of Katsina State for the recent bandit attacks in some of the state's communities. He insisted that the current administration is dedicated to addressing all types of security threats across the country.

The vice president gave assurances to the citizens of Katsina and other areas of the nation hit by terrorist attacks that Tinubu's administration would use all available resources to combat insecurity, according to a statement made by his media assistant Stanley Nkwocha.

He said, “I am here essentially to pay homage to the elder statesman. This is my first time coming to Daura since he came back home and we felt duty-bound to come and identify with him and also to commiserate with the people of Katsina, the governor and the government over the sad incidents of some loss of lives in the past couple of days.

“We also want to assure them of the federal government's determination to secure their lives and also to convey the best wishes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to his excellency, former President Mohammadu Buhari and the good people of Katsina.”

Also, the vice president gave the Nigerian people general comfort by promising that the “federal government will leave no stone unturned and will expend whatever resources that are needed to safeguard the lives and properties of the citizenry.”
