Dangote honors Herbert Wigwe by naming the Lagos refinery road

The road leading to Aliko Dangote's refinery in Lagos is named in honor of the late Herbert Wigwe, the chairman and chief executive officer of the Dangote Group.

According to MON DIARIES, the chief executive officer of Access Holdings died in a helicopter crash in California, USA, in February, along with his wife and son.

While the former CEO of Access Holdings did not enlist in the military, Dangote said that he could still be considered a soldier during his tribute to the late billionaire banker during a program held in his honor.

“Part of the 120km refinery road. The biggest road will be now named Herbert Wigwe,” he declared.

By naming the road in Herbert Wigwe's honor, he continued, “people will see this road leading to the refinery and would find out who was this Herbert Wigwe.”

He said that Wigwe was a man who was adored by everybody and who led a life that was admirable.
