Cancer Diagnosis: Kate And William Need Time To Recover — Former Royal Family Spokesman
Kate and William need time to recover, according to a former spokesman for the royal family
Following Catherine’s cancer diagnosis, former royal spokesman Paddy Harverson has asked the public to give the Prince and Princess of Wales the space and time they need to heal.
Harverson urged compassion and empathy, highlighting the couple's humanity in the face of their royal responsibilities and personal struggles.
The news that Catherine had been diagnosed with cancer came after weeks of waiting and much conjecture regarding her condition.
Kensington Palace told the public that she is expected to make a full recovery, however specifics of her condition are still unknown.
King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer and is currently receiving treatment, expressed his annoyance at being excluded from royal duties.
He was treated short at the same private hospital as Catherine.
Harverson urged moderation and respect for the family's privacy at this trying time, condemning the unrelenting speculation on social media.
He expressed his admiration for the Royal Family's tenacity and faith in their capacity to triumph despite hardship.
“This is not just an institution, it's a family... you also have to remember they're human beings.
“I suppose I'm biased, some of them are friends of mine, but I think it's very difficult when you're in that situation.
“You have to give them the space so while there might be communications... you also have to remember they are human beings and you have to follow their lead to a certain degree,” he said.
