3 People Killed In Afghanistan Suicide Bombing
A suicide bomber detonates a bomb next to an Afghanistan bank, killing three
Three people have died and twelve have been injured in a suicide explosion outside a bank in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar, according to province official Inamullah Samangani.
Around 8:00 am local time, there was an explosion that targeted those who were waiting outside the New Kabul Bank branch.
Samangani pointed out that the victims were regular people who got together to get paid.
“A suicide attack occurred in which three compatriots were killed and 12 others were wounded, according to preliminary information,” Inamullah Samangani, Director of Information and Culture of Kandahar province, told AFP.
With the Taliban taking control in August 2021, there has been a decline in the number of bomb blasts and suicide assaults; nonetheless, threats from armed organizations have persisted, particularly the Islamic State's regional branch.
When NATO soldiers hurriedly withdrew from Afghanistan two years ago, the Taliban took control of Kabul.
As soon as the new government took power, it made a number of commitments about advancing women's education, boosting the economy, and halting the production of drugs.
“We are going to allow women to work and study...women are going to be very active, but within the framework of Islam.”
A ban that barred women from attending universities to pursue higher education was put into effect in December of 2023.
This decree followed an earlier restriction on girls' education beyond the sixth grade (typically aged 11 to 12), which was instituted shortly after the Taliban's rise to power.
