TRANSFER: Troost-Ekong Hints Osimhen's Premier League Club

Victor Osimhen is being sought by Chelsea and Arsenal, and Nigeria's captain William Troost-Ekong acknowledged that he "knows" where he will play next year.

With a €120–130 million release clause in his new contract, it is widely anticipated that the Napoli star will leave the Campania capital during the upcoming summer transfer window. Speaking to the media last month, he already gave a hint that he had decided what to do next.

Osimhen has performed admirably this season despite the setbacks, making 20 appearances and contributing three assists in spite of the Napoli project collapsing over the last six months. He contributed three assists and one goal to the recent Africa Cup of Nations.

Troost-Ekong first talked about the difficulties his former teams, Salernitana and Udinese, are having this season when he spoke with Sky Sport via TMW.

“I always follow Serie A, it's a great league. This weekend with Salernitana-Udinese will be special for me, also because it was also the last match I played in my last season. The points would certainly be more useful to Salernitana than to Udinese.”

He recalled his days spent at Tottenham alongside Harry Kane.

“We started together 14 years ago and after training he always stayed on the pitch to try something else: shots, penalties, work with the goalkeepers.

“He always wanted to grow, and this ultimately led him to reach the top of the top. He is an example of the desire to improve and work harder.”

When asked where Troost-Ekong thought Osimhen would play the following year, he finally answered.

“I really can't tell you anything, but I know!”
