Seyi Tinubu Under Fire For Urging Nigerians To Endure Hardships
Nigerians slam Seyi Tinubu for preaching endurance over economic hardship
As Nigerians navigate the difficult economic times, President Bola Tinubu's eldest son, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, begged the people to be patient with his father's administration on Monday.
This came right after irate young people protested the rising expense of living in the capital of Oyo state, Ibadan. A 41-year-old man named David Ubaha further expressed his dissatisfaction with the dire economic circumstances by organizing a lone protest in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State.
President Tinubu's economic reforms during his first nine months in office have caused collateral Naira instability, which has made life difficult for Nigerians as food prices keep rising.
However, Seyi repeated his father's remarks from a national broadcast to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of Independence Day last October in an Instagram post.
Then, Tinubu said, “There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today's difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future.”
Seyi declared that he stands with his father and argued that the present generation “will yield the fruits of this hardship.”
