Porsha Williams Files For Divorce From Simon Guobadia

Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Porsha Williams has filed for divorce from her husband Simon Guobadia after 15 months of marriage.

According to court records that PEOPLE was able to obtain, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum filed for divorce from Guobadia on Thursday in Atlanta.

The announcement of their breakup coincides with internet rumors regarding Guobadia's citizenship. The divorce, a source claims to PEOPLE, is “unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon's past.”

The insider continues, An ongoing matter is the reason behind their split.

Williams, 42, and Guobadia, 59, exchanged vows in November 2022 in Atlanta during an American ceremony after a traditional native law and custom ceremony in Nigeria.

After dating for a month, the couple declared their engagement in May 2021. Williams and Guobadia shared a selfie with the caption, “Yes, we are crazy in love.”
