Okpebholo Emerges Edo APC Governor Candidate

Senator Monday Okpebholo, APC Edo State Gubernatorial Candidate 


Gov. Bassey Otu of Cross River, who is the chairman of the APC supplementary primary election, declared Sen. Okpebholo winner of the APC Governorship Candidate.


The Edo Central senator Monday Okpebholo has been declared the victor of the direct primary for the Edo All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship.


The announcement was made by Cross River Governor Bassey Otu, who chaired the Edo APC shadow poll, following the compilation of the findings from the 18 local government areas.


The location of the collation and declaration was the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Benin's Lushville Hotel and Suites on Gapiona Avenue.


Dennis Idahosa, the representative for the Ovia constituency in the House of Representatives, was defeated by Okpebholo with 12,433 votes, while Idahosa received 6,541 votes.
