JAMB Fixes Date For Sale Of Direct Entry Registration Form

The public communications advisor at JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, in a statement on Tuesday, February 27, said the registration process would start on Wednesday, February 28, and close on Thursday, March 28.

The Direct Entry application process is now being sold both nationally and in a few international locations by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

According to a statement released on Tuesday and signed by JAMB's public communication advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the registration process will open on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and close on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

As per the statement, foreign candidates who wish to pursue higher education in Nigeria through the Direct Entry mode are also eligible to purchase.

“Candidates who are not awaiting results must have uploaded their A' level qualifications, O'level results and DE registration template at the point of registration as no DE candidates would be processed for admission until such claimed results are uploaded and verified by the awarding institutions on the Board's Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform,” the statement read.

The Board clarified that candidates for Direct Entry who were awaiting their A-level results from IJMB, JUPEB, or NABTEB at the time of registration needed to upload their registration template and admission letter.

It was also recommended that applicants with Cambridge certificates for examination years prior to 2018 visit Cambridge directly for validation.

“This verification exercise may take up to 28 days (as specified by the awarding body) after which the verification result would be forwarded to the Board. The verification would be reflected on the e-Facility profile of the DE candidate. Statement of results (in lieu of certificate) is accepted for registration only within three years of the date of award,” it said.

According to the Board, there is a window of opportunity for candidates to upgrade from UTME to DE, provided that they are waiting on their A'level results and that they have not yet received their DE results at the time of UTME registration. applications
