Premier League weekend delights

Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were the standout performers as Fulham shocked Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford thanks to their goals.

The last time Fulham triumphed over United before Saturday's Premier League match was on December 19, 2009.

With his late goal, Iwobi became the first Fulham player to win a match at Old Trafford since October 2003's Steed Malbranque.

Iwobi has scored four goals in the Premier League so far this season, but Bassey scored Fulham's first goal ever.

In the 65th minute, Bassey gave Fulham the lead with a volley into the roof of the net following a corner kick rebound.

Harry Maguire felt he had earned at least a point for United, after he slotted home on 89 minutes.

However, Iwobi scored the game-winning goal in the 97th minute when he received a pass from a counter, cut inside, and fired into the net, leaving Andre Onana stranded.

Taiwo Awoniyi helped out at Villa Park, but Nottingham Forest fell short against Aston Villa 4-2.

In the fifth minute of first half stoppage time, Awoniyi set up Moussa Niakhate for a goal that made it 3-1 for Villa, who had already taken a 3-0 lead.

The Super Eagles striker was subbed for Divock Origi before the start of the second half.
