President Tinubu Will Watch Nigeria Vs Cote d'Ivoire Match Live In Abidjan on Sunday

The match between Nigeria and hosts Cote d'Ivoire will take place at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan, on Sunday

Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, will attend the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final, according to a statement made by Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football Federations, or CAF.

The game between Nigeria and the hosting Cote d'Ivoire is scheduled for this Sunday at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.

Motsepe was asked if Africa would ever host the World Cup again during a press conference on Friday at the Palace de la Culture in Trechville, Abidjan.

The South African business mogul replied: “Nigeria must put in a bid. The Nigerian president (Bola Tinubu) is coming to watch the final on Sunday. I will have a conversation with him about it.”

The match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. Nigerian time.

Prior to the Super Eagles' game against Angola on February 2, it was reported that Tinubu made a video call to the team from his “resting place” in France.

Seyi Tinubu, the president's son, posted a video of the moment and mentioned that the president had called the team before their current African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 quarterfinal match to inspire them.

Seyi Tinubu, the president's son, posted the video to his Instagram stories with the caption, “Mr. President @OfficialAsiwajubat encouraging the team ahead of the AFCON quarter-final match with Angola.”
