The management of Mohbad threatens Mr. Aloba with a N200 million lawsuit and gives him 14 days to retract his most recent remarks

A N200 million defamation lawsuit has been filed by the management of the late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, against his father, Mr. Joseph Aloba.

In a recent interview, Mohbad's father disclosed that his 26-year-old son had left behind an unsigned will that only contained his thumbprint.

The situation has gotten worse since the management team is threatening to sue Mohbad's father. The management demanded in the letter that Mohbad's father apologize publicly and take back what they considered to be “slanderous” remarks.

In addition, the management is asking for N200 million in losses.

“You are to publish same unqualified apology... within 14 days of this letter with payment of N200,000,000 (Two hundred Million Naira) through this honourable chambers (Bankole Falade & Co) within the set period,” the notice stated in part.

Recall that on September 12, 2023, Mohbad passed away in controversial way.
