Bandits kill one of the six sisters who were kidnapped in Abuja, prompting the Nigerian police to launch an inquiry

According to the Nigerian Police Force, an investigation into the kidnapping of six sisters in Abuja has started.

This occurs subsequent to the assassination of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, one of the abducted sisters, by the gunmen who are requesting a ransom of N60 million.

It was reported that on January 9, their father was kidnapped along with Najeebah and her sisters.

Reports state that the gunmen later freed their father and demanded that he go collect N60 million as payment before Friday, January 12, in order to secure the release of his daughters.

However, when the father was unable to raise the necessary funds, the thugs allegedly killed Najeebah, the eldest of the six girls, and disposed of her body somewhere so her parents could bury it.

Najeebah's death was confirmed on Saturday night, January 13, by Isa Ali Pantami, the former Minister for Communication and Digital Economy.

“Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaihi Raajiun! I just read about the killing of our daughter Najeeba (400 level, ABU). I also spoke with her father about the remaining 5 of our kidnapped daughters. May Allah forgive her, rescue others and bring absolute peace to Nigeria,” he said.
