Gov. Akeredolu of Ondo Reportedly Passes Away
Governor of Ondo, Akeredolu, Passes Away Following Prolonged Leukemia Battle
Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, has passed away.
SaharaReporters was informed on Wednesday by a family source that Akeredolu passed away in Lagos.
It was discovered that because they were unable to transport him overseas, he was cared for by State House physicians until his passing.
The source declared, “Akeredolu is dead; he died in Lagos.”
“They were looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week.”
He was 67 years.
The sick governor had just returned to Nigeria in September from a three-month medical leave in Germany when President Bola Tinubu ordered him to transfer authority to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Aiyedatiwa, his deputy, has been filling in as acting governor.
When Akeredolu returned to Nigeria in September, he attempted to govern Oyo State from Ibadan, which infuriated the populace.
