The controversial N5 billion presidential yacht was delivered to Nigeria prior to public outrage, according to Senate Chief Whip Ali Ndume
The Chief Whip revealed this in an interview with Arise Television, on Friday, November 3.
"We questioned the budgeted amount for the yacht, but it was signed for a dollar rate, and the new rate isn't favorable," the man stated. The budget was anticipated to be around N435; nevertheless, it is currently over N800."
"The Navy also clarified that it is not a new budget. And even the House of Representatives moved the budget to the Student loan. The deal for the yacht has been agreed, signed, and delivered but not paid for."
