MOHBAD'S DEATH: Mohbad's Spouse, Wunmi, Narrates The Ordeal Surrounding His Controversial Death

"My spouse began expressing unease following the nurse's injection of Mohbad's spouse," Wunmi says

Wunmi Aloba, the late singer Mohbad's wife, testified during the coroner's inquest on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, about what transpired prior to the artist's passing.

According to Wunmi's evidence, her husband claimed that he felt uncomfortable after receiving an injection from the auxiliary nurse and started to throw up. Around 1:00 PM on Tuesday, something occurred.

Wunmi reported to the court that on Sunday, September 10, 2023, Mohbad had a fight with his friend Prime Boy at Okorodu that left him with a minor injury.

She said that it was impossible for them to exit since there were so many fans on their way out of the Ikorodu.

Then he instructed Prime Boy to tell Adura Aloba, his younger brother, to let the bouncer know that he was ready to depart. He was told, nevertheless, to hold off until after other performers.

Mohbad was irritated after being kept waiting for two hours. Prime Boy acknowledged that Mohbad's brother had been impolite to him, but he said he was unable to publicly chastise his brother.

Wunmi claims that she was seated between Prime Boy and Mohbad when the argument broke out. When Prime Boy called Mohbad Promise—a name he dislikes being called in public—he furiously exited the vehicle.

"As he turned to the other side to meet Prime Boy, I immediately rushed to call others from our second Prado jeep to settle the dispute but I do not know what transpired during that time as i wasn't there.

"He did not go to the hospital for reasons I will state later. On Monday, September 11, he noticed I didn't talk to him because of the way he had behaved on Sunday, he begged me and then showed me the hand that was paining him.

"I suggested that we go to the hospital but he declined. Then I applied rub on the side of the wound which was not very deep. He told me a nurse would come. When the nurse came, she checked the hand before she gave him a Tetanus injection.

She mentioned that since Mohbad's nurse wasn't available, Spending, a friend of Mohbad's, was the one who extended the invitation. She and DJ Bami, Ajisegiri Sultan Ayobami, informed the nurse that Mohbad suffered from ulcers.

When she returned, she found Mohbad requesting the nurse to stop the injection because he was uncomfortable. She explained she had to check on the food she was cooking while the nurse was tending to her husband.

Recall that Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, in a controversial manner, and was buried at Ikorodu the next day.
