American Woman, 47, Imprisoned For Killing Her Lover
American lady, 47, imprisoned for killing her lover, who requested a breakup after receiving a $30 million inheritance
A 47-year-old lady has been taken into custody and accused of killing her lover of ten years in North Dakota, USA.
Allegedly, Ina Thea Kenoyer, the suspect, poisoned 51-year-old Steven Edward Riley Jr. to death after discovering that he intended to dmp her upon his receipt of an inheritance of approximately $30 million.
Kenoyer, who was taken into custody on Monday, October 30, is said to have carried out the heinous act on Tuesday, September 4, at their Minot home.
According to a statement from the police, Riley apparently fell ill on September 3 while attending a meeting with a lawyer to arrange his inheritance.
Riley was found to be unconscious by paramedics when Kenoyer dialed 911 the following day. He was first brought to a nearby hospital and then, on September 5, was moved to a hospital in Bismarck.
At first, Kenoyer reported to the authorities that her partner had suffered a heat stroke; however, an examination subsequently indicated that Mr. Riley had actually died from poisoning.
Investigators discovered that there had been disagreements in the couple's marriage; Mr. Riley was expected to inherit a substantial sum of money, estimated to be $30 million, and he had intended to split up with Kenoyer as soon as he received it.
Following Riley's passing, Kenoyer informed detectives that, as Riley's "common law" wife, she was entitled to a portion of the fortune and that she intended to divide it with Riley's kid.
According to the New York Post, many states acknowledge "common law" weddings, meaning that a long-term pair might be deemed married without undergoing the official legal marriage procedure. Kenoyer was "incensed" to learn that North Dakota is not one of those states from the investigators' explanation.
According to internet records, Kenoyer is being held at the Ward County Jail on a $1 million bond after being accused with morder, the most serious hom+cide offense in North Dakota, which is classified as a class AA felony.
