Abba Moro Emerges Senate Minority Leader
A former Minister of Interior and four-time Senator, Abba Moro, has emerged the Senate Minority Leader
Abba Moro, the Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, was elected Senate Minority Leader on Tuesday.
Moro, a two-term Senator from the Peoples Democratic Party, was nominated and subsequently confirmed by the opposing party in the red Chamber.
He succeeds Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwon of the Plateau North Senatorial District, who was dismissed by the Appeal Court.
Previously, the Senate assigned the Minority Leader to North Central, Senator Mwadkwon, a first-time senator, was nominated by the minority caucus.
His appointment was made known at the plenary on Tuesday, by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
