UCL: Erik Ten Hag Singles Out A Man Utd Player Following Their Loss
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has defended the under-fire Andre Onana in the wake of Tuesday's lackluster showing against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.
In the end, Casemiro was dismissed after Onana's errant ball as Man United fell to Galatasaray 3-2 in the Champions League.
Remember how Man United lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich in their Champions League debut? The Cameroonian was also responsible for the first goal.
"We are happy with our goalkeeping group, definitely with Andre. He was in one semi-final of the Champions League, last year he was in the final of the Champions League, he has the capabilities to be one of the best in the world," Ten Hag told the media (via Sky Sports) after the game.
"He has shown that and he will do it. We already have seen in games his great capabilities, also his personality after he made mistakes. He will bounce back and I am sure he will in the coming games as well."
Onana's Premier League performances have also drawn criticism, but Ten Hag defended him, claiming he has the potential to rank among the finest in the world.
