Chicago State University Saga: Tinubu's Academic Record Controversy Will Be Addressed By Atiku Today

In response to President Bola Tinubu's academic records being made public by Chicago State University, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential candidate for 2023, Atiku Abubakar, will speak at a global press conference.

Thursday at the Yar'Adua Center in Abuja will be Atiku's news conference.

A press invitation reads: "This is to inform and invite you to the World Press Conference of Our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, GCON, at the Yar'Adua Centre, Tomorrow, Thursday 5, October 2023, in the afternoon.

"The exact time will be communicated shortly. Please endeavor to attend. Thank You."

Through a court demand, Atiku obtained Tinubu's academic records from the CSU in opposition to the President's declaration.

Tinubu's 1979 CSU certificate, which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), differed from samples of the certificates the University provided to students that same year, according to data that were released, first on October 3 and then in a deposition on Tuesday.

The CSU Registrar said under oath that he was unable to vouch for the authenticity of the certificate Tinubu handed to INEC, the Independent National Electoral Commission.
