PDP Loses As The Tribunal Rules On Kebbi Gubernatorial

Governor Nasir Idris was recognized as the rightful governor of Kebbi State on Thursday by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Birnin Kebbi.recalls that the March 18 gubernatorial election had been declared a victory by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, going to Idris of the All Progressives Congress, APC.Governor Nasir Idris was recognized as the rightful governor of Kebbi State on Thursday by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Birnin Kebbi.

The panel led by Justice Ofem I. Ofem issued its decision on Thursday.

Recall that Idris of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was proclaimed the victor of the March 18 gubernatorial election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

However, the Peoples Democratic Party's General Aminu Bande (retired) had submitted a 722-page petition contesting the election of Governor Idris on March 18.
