The head of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, claims that the Supreme Court's decision to uphold Bola Ahmed Tinubu's victory is evidence that the opposition's allegations that the presidential election on February 25 was rigged are untrue.

Ganduje also urged Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to wait until 2031, when Tinubu would have completed his second term, in a statement released on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu. X.

Congratulating Tinubu, Ganduje stated that all assertions made by the opposition parties have been refuted by the ruling.

Ganduje stated that President Tinubu will now be able to focus on carrying out the APC's "Renewed Hope" mandate for the good of Nigerians, following the Supreme Court's ruling.

The APC leader urged Atiku and Obi to put aside their differences and work together with President Tinubu to realign the nation's economic policies in favor of sustained growth and development.

Ganduje also urged all Nigerians, regardless of their political inclinations, to support the President in order to guarantee that he upholds democratic values and steers the nation toward long-term development.

He said, "Nigeria belongs to all of us, it is our responsibility as patriots to pool our resources together to move the country forward. I congratulate both Atiku and Obi on their dogged fight in extending the frontiers of our democracy and law.

"This is democracy. Tinubu's victory is another victory for democratic rule in the country. There is still room for both Obi and Atiku to actualize their presidential aspiration after the second term tenure of President Tinubu in 2031."
