FG Announces Wednesday A Holiday

In honor of the Eil-ul-Maulid celebration by Muslim devotees, the Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, has declared Wednesday, September 27, 2023, a public holiday.

This information was released in a statement from the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Oluwatoyin Akinlade, on behalf of Interior Minister, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

Tunji-Ojo thanked Muslims everywhere for attending the event this year.

The minister also urged them to emulate the deep spiritual values that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) possessed, such as love, tolerance, perseverance, and patience.
