Leon Lobjoit, who has scored the most goals in England this year, has spoken out about his efforts.

Erling Haaland of Manchester City is the Premier League's leading scorer, but not in England.

The step five of the National League system's Leighton Town is where 28-year-old Lobjoit plays for his club team.

With an astonishing 60 goals in 50 games, the player has painted the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division red.

The 28-year-old, a former youth player for MK Dons, Coventry, Northampton, and QPR, assisted Leighton in getting promoted to SPL Division One Central.

The striker claimed on the Hawksbee and Jacobs show that he scored 62 goals when playing for Buckingham Town, making the 60 goals he scored this season not even among his best.

Obviously I'd had my 62-goal season so I wanted to be in the 60s for the season.

"In the last game, I had a mask on, the one before that I only came on for 20 minutes and so I didn't use one which was silly of me really!"

Haaland has 51 goals for Manchester City this season across all competitions.

"I know he's going to beat it! He's outstanding, a beast. I don't think there's anyone who can match him or even defend against him," Lobloit said of Haaland.
