WHO Advises Nigeria And Countries To Get Ready For The Upcoming Pandemic

The president of the World Health Organization on Monday encouraged nations to implement the necessary measures to get ready for the upcoming pandemic.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised the nations' "historic" choice to accept a significant budget increase at the U.N. agency's annual assembly.

Tedros said it was time to move negotiations on preventing the next pandemic forward in his address to the assembly, which came weeks after the COVID-19 pandemic's global emergency designation was lifted.
