UCL: VAR Should Have Reversed Man City's Equalizer - Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, believed that Manchester City's equalizer in Tuesday's 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal should not have counted.

Ancelotti was upset with the referee Artur Soares Dias after Kevin De Bruyne tied the game and he didn't use VAR.

The Italian claimed that Bernardo Silva crossed the touchline with the ball during the buildup.

Ancelotti was given a warning by Dias for entering the field of play to object to the goal.

Ancelotti stated following the match: "The ball was off the pitch. The technology said it.

"I don't understand why VAR didn't check it. The referee didn't pay attention to many things tonight."
