UCL: Checks Reveal Prior To Man City's Goal Against Real Madrid, The Ball Left The Field
A fresh photo from Real Madrid and Manchester City's first leg of the Champions League semifinal shows that the ball left the field of play before the English champions scored their equalizer.
After Vinicius Jr. gave the home team the lead earlier in the first half, Manchester City answered through Kevin de Bryune.
Despite having the majority of the first half's possession, Pep Guardiola's team enabled Real Madrid to take the lead on a fantastic goal from Vinicius.
De Bruyne's goal was challenged by Real, who were sure that the ball had left the field of play just before the City star scored.
Following a protest from several Real Madrid players and Carlo Ancelotti's request for a throw-in, a pass from Kyle Walker that appeared to be maintained in play pretty deftly by Bernardo Silva right on the touchline.
The ball actually left the field of play, judging from different camera angles.
