U-20 World Cup: Flying Eagles Arrive In Buenos Aires For A Training Tour Before The U-20 World Cup
The Nigerian Flying Eagles have landed in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, for a 10-day camping program in preparation for the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals this year.
For the training tour, 20 players and 10 officials arrived in the South American nation on Sunday night.
Victor Eletu, a midfielder for AC Milan, met up with the group when they got to Buenos Aires.
Before the World Cup, the Flying Eagles are anticipated to play a number of friendly while in the city.
For the World Cup, Ladan Bosso's team has been placed in Group D alongside four-time champions Brazil, Italy, and debutants Dominican Republic.
Prior to traveling to La Plata to play Brazil on May 27, their first two games will take place in Mendoza, in the far west of Argentina, against the Dominican Republic on May 21 and Italy on May 24.
The Flying Eagles have twice advanced to the competition's final.
Argentina will host the 2023 U-20 World Cup from May 20 to June 11.
