Tinubu Will Continue The Pace Of Infrastructure Improvement I Began - President Buhari

Nigerians have been promised by President Muhammadu Buhari that the upcoming administration of Senator Ahmad Bola Tinubu will maintain the pace of infrastructure development in the country.


President Muhammadu Buhari said his government has done the best it can in the area of infrastructure and general works when he dedicated the international terminal of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, along with two other federal projects in Kano and another in Zaria, Kaduna State, on Friday.


The Nigerian Navy Logistics College Dawakin Tofa, the 3000-Capacity Ultramodem Correctional Centre, the New International Terminal Building of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, and the purchase of aircraft, equipment, and buildings at the College of Aviation Technology Zaria, Kaduna State, are the four projects that the president has commissioned.


In the occasion where the president spoke virtually, he thanked the new administration for approving the projects three days prior to his handover and urged it to continue the pace of development that his administration had begun.


"The four projects that were commissioned today are critical at this time, I have no doubt that the incoming government which is also progressive will sustain the tempo of improvement.


"I am pleased to now commission, the Nigerian Navy Logistic College Dawakin Tofa, Kano state, 3000- capacity, the Ultramodern Correctional Centre, Kano, new airport terminal of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano and Aircraft Equipments and buildings at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Zaria Kaduna state" Buhari stated.


Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State praised President Buhari for mentioning the important international-standard initiatives in Kano State at the opening of the international terminal of Aminu Kano International Airport.


He said that the Kano airport saw the first airplane land there in 1936 and that it has continued to do so ever since.


"Part of this occasion is the commissioning of this edifice with state-of-the-art facilities in the oldest airport in Nigeria that started operations in 1936.


"The terminal building has been upgraded to this phase of development to compete with similar facilities in the whole world.


"This new project in Kano now is important not only to Kano State but will contribute significantly to economic growth and development.


"In addition to the air services, it will also provide more channels for investment and expertise.


President Buhari was thanked for advancing Kano, and he urged the state's residents to protect and effectively utilize the amenities.
