SIX NATIONS HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE QUARTERFINALS [FULL LIST]

The current Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Algeria has seen a total of six nations advance to the quarterfinal round.

On Saturday night, Nigeria's Golden Eaglets became the newest club to advance to the quarterfinals.

On Saturday at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui in Constantine, Nigeria overcame South Africa 3-2 in a highly interesting match.

Nigeria beat South Africa thanks to three goals from Charles Agada, Light Eke, and Abubakar Abdullahi.

South Africa did score against Nigeria thanks to goals from Vicky Mkhawana and Siyabonga Mabena.

Nigeria, Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, Mali, and Congo are the six nations that have thus far advanced to the competition's last eight.

Later today, Burkina Faso will play 

Cameroon in the group stage.

On Wednesday, the quarterfinal phase will begin.
