Saraki Responds As Nigeria Defeats Italy And Advances To The Next Round

Dr. Bukola Saraki, a former president of the Senate, praised Nigeria's Flying Eagles for defeating Italy 2-0 on Wednesday in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Additionally, Saraki urged the Flying Eagles to maintain winning the competition.

Nigeria overcame Italy thanks to goals from Salim Fago and Jude Sunday in the second half.

On Wednesday evening, Saraki responded by tweeting on his Twitter account, writing, ""With 2 brilliant goals from Salim Fago and Jude Sunday against Italy, our Flying Eagles keep soaring in the #U20WC! Well done boys! #SoarFlyingEagles."

Flying Eagles have officially qualified for the Round of 16 thanks to the victory over Italy earning 6 points from their first two group games.

On Saturday in La Plata, the Flying Eagles' final group match will be against Brazil.
