Resident Doctors Declared Five-day Warning Strike
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has called for a five-day warning strike since the Federal Government has not complied with its requests.
Beginning on May 17 and lasting until May 22 is a five-day strike.
The doctors revealed the decision during their emergency National Executive Council, NEC, meeting that took place digitally on Monday.
The Federal Government was given a two-week deadline to implement the agreements by the association on April 29, 2023, or face labor unrest. The deadline expired on May 13, 2023, a Saturday.
The Consolidated Medical Salary Structure must be immediately increased by 200 percent of doctors' existing gross salaries, according to the doctors' demands.
In a letter sent to the minister of health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, dated July 7, 2022, the resident doctors also demand that CONMESS be reviewed
