Presidential Tribunal: Court Decides Tinubu And Shettima's Fate Today
Tension as Tinubu-Shettima's destiny is decided by the Supreme Court
In anticipation of the historic Supreme Court decision regarding Bola Tinubu's election triumph, there is a tangible sense of fear and worry.
Today, on Friday, the Supreme Court will rule on Tinubu's triumph ove Kashim Shettima's purported double nomination.
Due to an alleged double nomination, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is requesting Tinubu and the Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima, be disqualified.
PDP alleged that the action was against the electoral laws.
The appeal was based on the appellant's assertions that the appellate court erred in law when it denied its appeal and upheld the trial court's ruling that the lawsuit was unfounded and without substance.
By designating Shettima as both a vice presidential candidate and a senatorial contender for Borno Central, the PDP said that the ruling party had broken the law.
The Supreme Court is the highest court in the land, according to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo chief. There shouldn't be any reason to worry. Any choice they make is final. In the interest of justice and Nigeria, we hope that their choice would be the best.
"I want to advise all Nigerians to be law abiding. Nobody should allow anybody to use him as a tool for mayhem.
"Politicians must never be allowed to sow the seed of discord on us. We have many things in common, viz- marriage, workplace relationship, religious companionship, etc, and when these politicians finally settle down in office it's their wives."
