Lionel Messi will leave Paris Saint-Germain when his current contract expires this summer.
The veteran forward signed a two-year contract with PSG after leaving Barcelona in the summer of 2021.
Despite the fact that his contract provides an option for another year, both the World Cup winner and the club no longer want the transaction to go through.
According to BBC Sport, the 35-year-old and his father, who also serves as his agent, Jorge Messi, told PSG's football advisor Luis Campos of the players' decision to leave a few weeks ago.
