President Muhammadu Buhari has introduced the Nigeria Agenda 2050 (NA 2050), a new long-term National Development Plan.
The plan, which was unveiled in Abuja on Wednesday, May 3, aims to place Nigeria among the world's top middle-income nations by 2050, with a per capita GDP of $33,328.
In a statement, presidential spokesman Femi Adesina stated that the Plan envisions a vibrant, industrialized, and knowledge-based economy that promotes inclusive and sustainable development for the country.
He further stated that, given the tools now in place for continuing plan implementation, subsequent Administrations will find the document valuable in fulfilling political commitments
