GOLDEN EAGLETS' QUARTERFINAL MATCHUP IS AGAINST BURKINA FASO

The 2023 AFCON U-17 Cup of Nations will be held in Algeria, and the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will play Burkina Faso in the quarterfinals.

Burkina Faso defeated the reigning champions 2-1 in Annaba to clinch a spot in the round of eight.

After Mali, the Young Stallions came in second place in Group C.

Last year, the Golden Eaglets won the WAFU B Championship with a 2-1 victory over the Burkinabes.

On Thursday, the quarterfinal match will take place at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui in Constantine.

Senegal will face South Africa in the other quarterfinal matchup, while Algeria, the hosts, will face Morocco and Mali, Congo.
