EFCC Detains 21 Alleged Online Fraudsters In Enugu

Tuesday saw the arrest of 21 alleged internet fraudsters by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during a sting operation in Enugu.

In a statement released in Abuja, EFCC Spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren claimed this.

The suspects, in his opinion, are; Nwosu Paul, Onuji Samson, Eze Chukwudi, Stanley Okoroafor, Michael Nnamchi, Henry Ozonwanji, Victor Ozonwanji, Victor Ibik, Anthony Ugwu, Ndubuisi Amala, Eneje Chisom, Henry Chukwu, and Emanuel Abah.

Others include Abumchukwu Dominic, Agafe Victor, Victor Abah, Jide Favour, Samson Onyedika, Joshua Uchechukwu, Izuchukwu Paul and Samuel Chizitiere.

Five exotic cars, 32 mobile phones, and seven personal computers are among the items retrieved from them.

"The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged in court soon," he said.
