The factional National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Lamidi Apapa, who was driven from the Court of Appeal in Abuja, the site of the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, on Wednesday, has thanked God for saving his life and said that he would have died in the court grounds if it weren't for God.

Announcing his presence in court as the party's acting national chairman and confirming the status of the petition's candidate, Apapa told reporters shortly after being freed from security agents' protective custody. The 2023 presidential election result is being contested by Mr. Peter Obi.
