A COURT ORDERS A SPERM DONOR TO STOP AFTER FATHERING 550 CHILDREN
In the latest reproductive crisis to rock the Netherlands, Dutch judges have ordered a man suspected of fathering more than 550 children through sperm donations to cease contributing.
The man, known only as "Jonathan M." in Dutch media, was hauled into court by an organization protecting donor children's rights and the mother of one of the children reportedly fathered with his sperm.

The man, known only as "Jonathan M." in Dutch media, was taken to court by an organization protecting donor children's rights and the mother of one of the children reportedly fathered with his sperm.
According to Dutch clinical recommendations, a donor should not father more than 25 children in 12 households, but judges determined that the man had assisted in the birth of between 550 and 600 children since beginning as a sperm donor in 2007.
