THE NIGERIAN SENATE RECONVENES ON MAY 2
The Nigerian Senate's resumption has been rescheduled till Tuesday, May 2, the administration announced on Friday.
Chinedu Akubueze, Clerk of the Senate, made the announcement in a statement issued in Abuja.
The National Assembly's Red Chamber (NASS) adjourned session on April 5 for the Easter and Sallah vacations.
"This is to inform all distinguished senators that the resumption of the Senate has been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 2," Akubueze said.
The federal parliamentarians have been given notice that they will reconvene in plenary on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
Meanwhile, the NASS administration is preparing for the inauguration of the 10th Senate and House of Representatives.
The newly-elected lawmakers would be inducted by NASS executives and the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS.
