Njamah made headlines after alleging that her lover was attempting to blackmail her with naked videos in his hands.

Following his threats to release the naked recordings, George allegedly started a WhatsApp group on January 1st, 2023, and published them, causing anger on the internet.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, sought the arrest of Empress Njamah's ex-boyfriend in a statement signed by its head of communication in response to the leaked videos, citing violation of privacy as a crime.

George Wade, a Liberian, was detained for reportedly blackmailing multiple women in Liberia, according to a viral social media video.

Wade was seen in handcuffs as he arrived at a police station in the footage.
