NIGERIA'S INTERNET USERS INCREASED TO 154.8 MILLION IN THE FOURTH QUARTER OF 2022



The rise was 9.07 percent from 141,971,560 in the fourth quarter of 2021.


The National Bureau of Statistics revealed this in its most recent report on Friday.


According to the report, the number of active voice users increased to "222,571,568 from 195,463,898 reported in Q4 2021" in Q4 2022.


According to the organization, this is a 13.87 percent growth rate.

However, voice subscribers increased by 4.89 percent quarter over quarter, according to NBS.


According to NBS, Lagos State had the most active voice customers during the period under review, with 26,460,877, while Bayelsa had the fewest, with 1,571,692.


MTN Nigeria has the most internet customers with 65 million, followed by Globacom with 43 million, Airtel with 41 million, and 9mobile with 4.4 million.


"On a quarter-on-quarter basis, this grew by 1.35 per cent," NBS stated.
